Cons of a Retro Game Box System:
- Price – Sadly the unit will be a little pricey depending on options chosen during checkout – price to mostly cover the cost of all the hardware to build the micro-sized computer, and the mandatory Windows 11 and LaunchBox license fee.
Currently there are hundreds, if not thousands, of retro devices under @ $100; however, you certainly get what you pay for. Every single one we tested, either was so extremely flimsy and broke under simple use, had mis-titled or mis-labeled games or systems, or had 20 duplicate titles for most games to over inflate the actual number of games they offer. Simply put we wasted our money. We cannot tell you how to spend your money, but we are just advising you, so you do not make the same money wasting mistakes as we have. If you still do not want to follow our advice, and choose to waste your money, we will still be here offering true and quality products.
The Retro Game Box will currently be around 7 x 6 x 3 inches (no matter if you choose a typical harddrive, or a M.2 NVME harddrive)7,8

1 Retro Game Box custom prints each case to help keep costs as low as we can. On the case, on the back, will be printed into the case a unique serial number (Actually part of the case, not a sticker than can get smudged over time. This serial number will be required for support and any returns you might need to request to get an RMA number to ship the unit back into us for service or a refund.
- 2 All specifications for the Retro Game Box will be provided once we begin producing and selling them. These are actual Windows based computers, not a Raspberry Pi with a free operating system. You will be able to use the Retro Game Box to do everything you normally do on a computer. The 8 TB Hard drive will be installed as a secondary hard drive and will not be shared with the operating system or anything you save such as pictures, videos, spreadsheets, etc.
- 3 If you currently own a regular or lifetime (anything except free) license, you will simply need to provide the credentials and the $75 license for LaunchBox would not be needed and you would save $75 off our listed sale price. Currently the LaunchBox, regular or lifetime (anything except free) license is mandatory.
- 4 Retro Game Box has fully tested, what we believe, to be every single game, but honestly, we do not fully conquer every game while testing. We are not like most people selling ROMs, and you get a ton of non-working games, a lot of duplicates, or 30 versions of solitaire – they do this to inflate the actual numbers of games to get people to purchase and later find out they wasted their money.
